About Haven
Haven is an unincorporated non-profit community living project, designing tomorrow’s sovereign villages today. We are cultivating a regenerative, sustainable community where sovereignty, reciprocity, and shared purpose guide how we live, work, and grow together.
Our vision is to create a vibrant, thriving village complete with food forests, community dwellings, sacred gathering spaces and a culture of cooperation... all connected to a wider network of like-minded communities.
This is more than a property. It’s a living movement.
Our Story
In 2020, amidst global change, Sarah and Joseph felt the call to create something different, a place where people could live in true connection with the land and each other. After a year of searching, they found a piece of land outside Austin that, despite its need for restoration, held the seed of their vision.
Since then, Haven has been brought to life through the hands, hearts, and energy of many. Friends, family, volunteers, and past residents have come together for work days, creative projects, and seasons of living on the land. Each person has left their mark , planting gardens, building structures, tending animals, and weaving connection. Helping transform this space into the vibrant, evolving community it is becoming.
Together, we have restored the land, hosted gatherings, and laid the foundations for a community rooted in sovereignty, sacred reciprocity, and collective growth. Now, we’re inviting others to become part of this journey.

Haven Circle is our membership program and your opportunity to join our living, evolving community committed to creating a sovereign, regenerative future.
We operate as a private, place-based community. In order to participate in our events, community gatherings, and other valuable resources, you must become a member. *we have a pay-what-you-can option.
It's a way to actively participate in building a new (yet ancient) way of living. By becoming a member, you're directly fueling Haven’s daily operations and long-term projects: restoring the land, planting food forests, creating sacred spaces, and building regenerative systems that serve as blueprints for sovereign villages everywhere.
Because Haven is an unincorporated non-profit, your membership is not just “dues”, it’s an investment in a living vision. It sustains the heart of the community today while seeding the foundations of tomorrow. This is community-powered economy in action: instead of relying on banks, corporations, or government, we are proving what’s possible when people pool resources for the collective good.
